With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Caeiro in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio Passos saved GD JULIO DINIS from getting behind. Zeferino Castilho hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Maurício Mansilha managed to get in a good position for a shot. MZ Fénix's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Mansilha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, GD JULIO DINIS's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Bernardes came free, but Sérgio Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zarco Bandeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeferino Castilho in the 31st minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geraldo Lopes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sérgio Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Caeiro in the 51st minute of play. Norberto Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Joel Caeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Sérgio Passos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Samuel Caneira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Passos having to interfere. In the 75th minute Hugo Bernardes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, GD JULIO DINIS's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Baía came free, but Sérgio Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Hugo Bernardes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Passos. GD JULIO DINIS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Bernardes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0.
