Bernardo Valladares's late challenge caught a GD JULIO DINIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Sérgio Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinaldo Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeferino Castilho in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Geraldo Lopes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reinaldo Damião. Geraldo Lopes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 38th match minute, GD JULIO DINIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Caldeira to maneuver through the defense. Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Bernardo Valladares couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for GD JULIO DINIS. Geraldo Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Benedito Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedito Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Benedito Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geraldo Lopes made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Geraldo Lopes notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Reinaldo Damião. Reinaldo Damião was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Santana in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reinaldo Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Wágner Massa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sérgio Passos. Sérgio Passos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Luiz Fábio Garcia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Sérgio Passos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Novaes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sérgio Passos, 3-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Luciano Bittencourt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sérgio Passos. That made the score 3-4 in the 82 minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when Zeferino Castilho came free, but Reinaldo Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
