Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ruy Valle started the match with the kick off. Gilberto Ceresso's late challenge caught a Ponte do Carro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Ceresso helped the player get up and apologised. Gilberto Ceresso hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute of the match Alexandre Lucena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Veloso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wolves FC - DMZ's Zé Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Nogueira in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Wolves FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Teles came free, but Zé Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Silvério Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Lucena in the 19th minute of play forced Wolves FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Renato Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alípio Regalado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Guerra in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Nogueira in the 27th minute of play forced Wolves FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Moisés Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Franklin Guerra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alípio Regalado, 2-1. In the 36th minute, Gregório Modesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Veloso came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponte do Carro's Alexandre Lucena. But to his dismay, Alexandre Lucena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 45 minutes Ponte do Carro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wanderson Lopez who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Wanderson Lopez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alípio Regalado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Wolves FC - DMZ's Zé Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Nogueira in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute Renato Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregório Modesto to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Ceresso hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Silvério Cardoso hit a great ball. Franklin Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Wolves FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Lopez. Moisés Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráuzio Leite hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Nogueira in the 72nd minute of play forced Wolves FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Ponte do Carro's Leonel Teles to fire away a dangerous shot which Zé Veloso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Ruy Valle put in a rough tackle. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wolves FC - DMZ! The goalkeeper, Zé Veloso, was totally fooled by Ponte do Carro's Alexandre Lucena, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 94 minutes, Deivid Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolves FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deivid Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wolves FC - DMZ's Dida Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 98 minutes, Silvério Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ponte do Carro and the Wolves FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 98th minute, Silvério Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute, Wanderson Lopez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ponte do Carro's Alípio Regalado didn't even have to move. The Ponte do Carro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ponte do Carro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
