The supporters of Ponte do Carro booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Malone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Pinhal hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Alípio Regalado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Goliath Mediano's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Duarte Caetano scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Lucero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Deportivo Rodriguez were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
