Godofredo Tejerina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Lucero having to interfere. The Alianza Trujillo fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Alianza Trujillo's Raulo Seda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Raulo Seda scored 0-3 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Lucero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Solustiano Ameyugo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Malone in the 25th minute. Connor Marrero kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match Mario Verdeja sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Lucero skillfully saved the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Raymond Arrington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Rodriguez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alianza Trujillo the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Raymond Arrington hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Arsenio Ceraso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Lucero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ivan Lucero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raulo Seda in the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Raulo Seda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Lucero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 40th minute, Connor Marrero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Rodriguez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 44 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Raulo Seda came free, but Ivan Lucero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Alianza Trujillo were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Deportivo Rodriguez booed when Alianza Trujillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Ceraso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th match minute, Deportivo Rodriguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roosevelt Sullivan to maneuver through the defense. Arsenio Ceraso shot from long distance after 55 played minutes, a shot that Ivan Lucero with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Alianza Trujillo's Godofredo Tejerina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Lucero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Turi Sendin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alianza Trujillo made a substitution. Zorion Balli replaced Turi Sendin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goliath Mediano in the 63rd minute of play forced Alianza Trujillo's goalkeeper Solustiano Ameyugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Alianza Trujillo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Arsenio Ceraso hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Rodriguez's Sherman Holliday got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 75 played minutes Alianza Trujillo got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Colunga. In the 78th minute Raulo Seda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Eric Malone hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Goliath Gigante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Rodriguez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alianza Trujillo the free kick. Goliath Gigante kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Alianza Trujillo's Arsenio Ceraso got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Connor Marrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th minute, Nicodemo Balsera fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Raulo Seda spun around in front of the goal 90 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Deportivo Rodriguez's goal. Zorion Balli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Lucero having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Alianza Trujillo's Nicodemo Balsera slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Lucero. That made the score 1-5 after 94 minutes of play. The Deportivo Rodriguez supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alianza Trujillo's performance. The match ended with a win for Alianza Trujillo.
