An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Carredano in the 10th minute of play forced Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Fedele Nardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedele Nardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Carredano in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Zaquiel Boñar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gladiator FC's Fedele Nardi. Fedele Nardi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute, Gladiator FC's Angelo Marchegiani seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Angelo Marchegiani the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gladiator FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angelo Marchegiani had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 19th minute of the match Zuberoa Sanguino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fedele Nardi skillfully saved the ball. In the 23rd minute, Zuberoa Sanguino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Gladiator FC defense, Zaquiel Boñar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fedele Nardi. The Gladiator FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fedele Nardi should have stopped the shot. Zaquiel Boñar took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fedele Nardi. Fedele Nardi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Uzuri Lojo fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Uzuri Lojo a yellow card for diving instead. Uzuri Lojo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Efrain Meruelo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Zaquiel Boñar took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fedele Nardi. Fedele Nardi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 55th minute Beppe Rivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Collado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ennio Pizzi made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Comunardo Rullo. Vinicio Collado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beppe Rivera's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Fedele Nardi was a little too slow when Corozo Nevares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-5. Fedele Nardi made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Zaquiel Boñar sent off a good shot on target. Gladiator FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Diego Carredano scored to the left of an out of position Fedele Nardi, making the score, 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Beppe Rivera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gladiator FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beppe Rivera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Collado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Fedele Nardi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaquiel Boñar. With his leg Fedele Nardi managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Astillero del Guayas's Zaquiel Boñar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Gladiator FC's Beppe Rivera in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astillero del Guayas's goalie prevented a goal. Beppe Rivera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Collado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beppe Rivera in the 93rd minute of play. If Zaquiel Boñar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Gladiator FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Astillero del Guayas's performance. The match ended with a win for Astillero del Guayas.
