Arthur Lago came out of the goal and Victoriano Fernado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bonival's Valdemar Cardoso in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arthur Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Gudesteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Valdemar Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Amado Iruinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victoriano Fernado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Lago having to interfere. If Valdemar Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amado Iruinea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Amado Iruinea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Valle in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Bittencourt came free, but Amado Iruinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Bonival's Valdemar Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sixto Celipe was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Pedrão Cordeiro hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Bonival's Arthur Lago got control of the ball when Cornelio Cristofor tried to sneak it across the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
