After having played for 6 minutes, Juan Alfonso Cortazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballet Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Alfonso Cortazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Ballet Azul's Juan Alfonso Cortazar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arthur Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Arthur Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferrán Sarratea's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Ballet Azul's goalkeeper Alvino Klein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurinho Bittencourt. Arthur Lago came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ballet Azul's Miguel Hernánde Tellez. But to his dismay, Miguel Hernánde Tellez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Juan Alfonso Cortazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Lago having to interfere. Pedrão Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrão Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, one of Bonival:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bonival. In the 36th match minute, Ballet Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xulián Mancilla to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the game, Maurinho Bittencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonival's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballet Azul the free kick. The supporters of Ballet Azul booed when Bonival was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Reynaldo Farren fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballet Azul's protests and gave Reynaldo Farren a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ballet Azul getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Reynaldo Farren hit a great ball. Maurinho Bittencourt hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Juan Alfonso Cortazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Ballet Azul were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Alfonso Cortazar made a kick off. A collision led to Ballet Azul getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Juan Alfonso Villagrán hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Bonival's Maurinho Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvino Klein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Xulián Mancilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd match minute, Ballet Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Farren to maneuver through the defense. If Juan Alfonso Cortazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arthur Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Alfonso Cortazar in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Renatinho Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ballet Azul's Juan Alfonso Cortazar in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bonival's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th match minute, Ballet Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Hernánde Tellez to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferrán Sarratea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arthur Lago. That made the score 0-4 in the 93 minute of play. When the match was over Ballet Azul could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bonival throughout the match.
