After 13 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Meruelo. Vinicio Collado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baldemer Acedo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldemer Acedo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Collado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Kepa Maestro got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Eleuterio Bastida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Collado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Corozo Nevares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Zaquiel Boñar came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Astillero del Guayas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaquiel Boñar couldn't finish the play. The Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Baldemer Acedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldemer Acedo in the 29th minute of play. Zaquiel Boñar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Senen Paz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vinicio Collado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ametz Campoamor in the 41st minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 46 minutes into the game, when Tulio Alacuart put in a rough tackle. 45 minutes into the game, one of Los Ángeles de Charlie 2:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the game, Diego Carredano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 the free kick. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Diego Carredano hit a great ball. Baldemer Acedo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 57th play minutes Baldemer Acedo shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Vinicio Collado and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado got control of the ball when Baldemer Acedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uxio Casas during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Uxio Casas got a free kick in the 67th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Baldemer Acedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldemer Acedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Zuberoa Sanguino hit a great ball. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Eleuterio Bastida shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 77th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vinicio Collado but with some difficulty. Vinicio Collado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldemer Acedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute of the match Eleuterio Bastida sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinicio Collado skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Vinicio Collado managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Baldemer Acedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ametz Campoamor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Meruelo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldemer Acedo got free with Vinicio Collado in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldemer Acedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Vinicio Collado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Baldemer Acedo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 played a much better game than Astillero del Guayas and deserved their victory. The Astillero del Guayas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
