But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arrigo Addari couldn't finish the play. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fedele Nardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Literski in the 52nd minute of the match. When Leonard Sala fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Grodzka's protests and gave Leonard Sala a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes FC Grodzka got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Sala. FC Grodzka's Zdzislaw Walentowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Rullo in the 54th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Gladiator FC's Zdzislaw Walentowicz threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Comunardo Rullo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Comunardo Rullo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes FC Grodzka got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Kempka. Fabiano Tatangelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Wincent Ferfecki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedele Nardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Cantagallo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dino Cantagallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gladiator FC's Dino Cantagallo got a free kick in the 74th minute. Juliusz Wolnik kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Arrigo Addari could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Zdzislaw Walentowicz made a huge save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
