PIRATAS TFP's Laerte Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahoma Abrego in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of PIRATAS TFP booed when Club Getafe Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xano Caminero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Peru Cartagena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mahoma Abrego blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laerte Brasil having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Jacques Huerta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rômulo Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, João Vítor de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PIRATAS TFP's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Vítor de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laerte Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peru Cartagena in the 57th minute of play.
