The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, MKS Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Normando came free, but Kajetan Januszewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Clemente Camerino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Januszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kajetan Januszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Normando in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Camerino in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kajetan Januszewski saved MKS Pogoń Szczecin from getting behind. Elpidio Brais kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Bernabe Normando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OLYMPIACOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MKS Pogoń Szczecin the free kick. A collision led to MKS Pogoń Szczecin getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Karol Serwach hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, OLYMPIACOS FC's Haroldo Etxahun got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 30th match minute, MKS Pogoń Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigiusz Kostka to maneuver through the defense. Karol Serwach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of MKS Pogoń Szczecin booed when OLYMPIACOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Brais didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Elpidio Brais managed to get in a good position for a shot. OLYMPIACOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Brais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
