Thrasivoulos Neopidis charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thrasivoulos Neopidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Thrasivoulos Neopidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Wilfred Fleming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giannis Papadosifakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerrod Hope made an important save on a dangerous shot by Argyris Staboulis in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Fondas Sakaridis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jerrod Hope. Jerrod Hope was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Georges Christopher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Argyris Staboulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Argyris Staboulis was the one to do the kick off. Jerrod Hope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argyris Staboulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Thrasivoulos Neopidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jerrod Hope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argyris Staboulis in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Thrasivoulos Neopidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 73 played minutes GOD OF WAR got a freekick which was hit by Argyris Staboulis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Georges Christopher during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82nd play minutes Argyris Staboulis shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Jerrod Hope and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argyris Staboulis in the 85th minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Jerrod Hope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
