Malcolm Kruuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Padovani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Triganza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Nilsson in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claes Arenstedt during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to JKs Talanger getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Claes Arenstedt hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match, George Xiberras got a very nice opportunity to score, but Malcolm Kruuse was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ian Triganza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William De Lucca kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. JKs Talanger's Niklas Bagge got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Robert Gera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. JKs Talanger's Malcolm Kruuse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Padovani in the 32nd minute of play. In the last second Malcolm Kruuse throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ryan Padovani in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Attard Gunners's Ian Triganza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Hamberg in the 34th minute of play. Robert Gera charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Attard Gunners's supporters rose to their feet, but George Xiberras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Kruuse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ryan Padovani was the one to do the kick off. Bengt Hamberg kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Anthony Salamone hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Attard Gunners's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Ragnar Fribäck scored to the left of an out of position Ian Triganza, making the score, 0-1. Arne Björklund hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Attard Gunners's Ian Triganza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Hamberg in the 71st minute of play. Malcolm Kruuse was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute Bengt Hamberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Triganza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
