The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Miguel Gomez notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of F.C. YKE's Ike Schmeichel. Ike Schmeichel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 11 played minutes CD SHETTANI got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Matarrita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Enășoiu in the 17th minute of play forced CD SHETTANI's goalkeeper Greivin Camacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Culiță hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Centeno kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Rodolfo Centeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Olimpiu Oloieru fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. YKE's protests and gave Olimpiu Oloieru a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Olimpiu Oloieru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when CD SHETTANI's Miguel Gomez in the 34th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ike Schmeichel was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for F.C. YKE through an amazing save. Jonny Carballo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ike Schmeichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play F.C. YKE's Olimpiu Oloieru was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 41 played minutes F.C. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Oloieru. Iacob Siteavu charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iacob Siteavu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of F.C. YKE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD SHETTANI:s goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolae Stanciu to make the kick off. Ike Schmeichel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Gomez went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 54th minute, Jonny Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Yossi Clavo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ike Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD SHETTANI's Greivin Camacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolae Stanciu in the 63rd minute of play. With a little luck, CD SHETTANI's Greivin Camacho got control of the ball when Nicolae Boboc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Greivin Camacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Stanciu in the 68th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, CD SHETTANI's goalkeeper Greivin Camacho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucrețiu Culiță. Jonny Carballo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ike Schmeichel. Ike Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yossi Clavo in the 79th minute of the match. Ike Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Matarrita, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
