Celedonio Iraitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Santos in the 4th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Rigoberto Tello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Rose 1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Celedonio Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Neto in the 19th minute of play. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Furtado in the 21st minute of the match. Amadeu Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeu Prado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Neto in the 39th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Celedonio Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dráusio Santos got free with Celedonio Iraitz in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celedonio Iraitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sport Club Mavericks's José Carlos Mangueira was substituted for Zézinho Neto. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Fagondo made a kick off. Téo Guimarães helped the player get up and apologised. Mateus Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The long shot by Aquiles Belasko in the 80th minute really tested Amadeu Prado's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 88 minutes into the game, Jacinto Fagondo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amadeu Prado. Jacinto Fagondo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Black Rose 1979's Filiberto Ascencio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 95th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Amadeu Prado but with some difficulty. Celedonio Iraitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Black Rose 1979 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
