To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerson Viana came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Sacro Balompié's Domingos Jaizki. But to his dismay, Domingos Jaizki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marcelo Pirani charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Pirani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 minutes of play, Sacro Balompié's Domingos Jaizki made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerson Viana was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Sacro Balompié's Aaron Bernad got control of the ball when Guga Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerson Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Rodriguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Gerson Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Jaizki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Aesir FC FSCMZ booed when Sacro Balompié was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Goiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guga Gaspar made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Andrézinho Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aesir FC FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Bernad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerson Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Oliveiro in the 55th minute. Domingos Jaizki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Gerson Viana made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélio Cosme during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
