The audience was convinced that Zeledon Gaskon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Luke was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Ildefonso Ortle made a precise shot to the right of Bonifacio Charro. Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gavino Luke didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Zeledon Gaskon shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Oliverios didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Zeledon Gaskon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Gaskon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Urtsin might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Luke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Urtsin ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Urtsin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 46th match minute, Gaviotas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Jakobe to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Urtsin made a kick off. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gaviotas FC! Gavino Luke had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Ricardo Nastasio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 68th minute, Ricardo Nastasio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavino Luke was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Zeledon Gaskon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Jakobe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Gustavo Urtsin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Gaviotas FC's Gavino Luke. Gavino Luke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gavino Luke came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Gustavo Urtsin. But to his dismay, Gustavo Urtsin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. If Zeledon Gaskon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteve Naelio kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Lizer to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Lopez during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Casimiro Lopez hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Urtsin came free, but Gavino Luke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Zeledon Gaskon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavino Luke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. After a rather tough play, Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Zeledon Gaskon got a free kick in the 98th minute. Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
