In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's goalkeeper Bonifacio Charro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C booed when Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Federico Nicholas put in a rough tackle. After 17 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Nicholas. Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Nastasio in the 18th minute of play. Bonifacio Charro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Martxot's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Bonifacio Charro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Martxot went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Fausto Argider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Charro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Academia FC defense, Zeledon Gaskon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Etxeberri. The Academia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Etxeberri should have stopped the shot. If Urbano Dantae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

If Gustavo Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Martxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bonifacio Charro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Academia FC fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Academia FC's Jorge Martxot looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Urbano Dantae struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Angel Etxeberri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C. Ricardo Nastasio kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Jorge Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C for a fine match.
