In the 13th minute Evaristo Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Sebastian Gimenez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Gustavo Souza. Sebastian Gimenez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Gavino Luke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Tiago Gabriel Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Luke having to interfere. Canarinho Atordoado were furious when Elói Azevedo was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Thanks to some nice moves Baldomiro Oliverios could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Luís Gustavo Souza however easily saved by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Oliverios to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Tiago Gabriel Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canarinho Atordoado's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Gabriel Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 83rd match minute, Canarinho Atordoado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Baiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute of the match Anastasio Arce sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Gustavo Souza skillfully saved the ball. When Otávio Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canarinho Atordoado's protests and gave Otávio Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. Otávio Pimenta hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes, Gaviotas FC's Anastasio Arce shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Souza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gaviotas FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Ursino in the 88th minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Gustavo Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Casimiro Lopez went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Tiago Gabriel Luz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Gavino Luke skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Tiago Gabriel Luz came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Canarinho Atordoado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Luz couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Gaviotas FC were the better team. Gaviotas FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
