An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Ortle in the 3rd minute of play forced Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Etxahun Curiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gaviotas FC's Ildefonso Ortle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Etxahun Curiel. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. If Lionel-Andrés Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Casimiro Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaviotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Nisio Bildosteguy. In the 36th minute, Baldomiro Oliverios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Edelmiro Villalcazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Edelmiro Villalcazar hit a great ball. Baldomiro Oliverios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Etxahun Curiel made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Etxahun Curiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Ortle in the 63rd minute of play. After 82 minutes of play, Gaviotas FC's Baldomiro Oliverios made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Etxahun Curiel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaviotas FC's Anastasio Arce was substituted for Sebastian Gimenez. Etxahun Curiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Ursino in the 90th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Oliverios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Etxahun Curiel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
