The audience was convinced that Cătălin Octavian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitório Mendonça was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 17th minute Carlinhos Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Turlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. São Paulo da Floresta's Vitório Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save São Paulo da Floresta from getting a goal against them. Dumitru Turlea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Marian Răducu fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s protests and gave Marian Răducu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Marian Răducu hit a great ball. If Carlinhos Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maxim Rioşanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Mendonça having to interfere. Dumitru Turlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- defense, Jonatan Calleri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dumitru Turlea. The ASF BAIA MARE -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dumitru Turlea should have stopped the shot. Dumitru Turlea came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo da Floresta's Jonatan Calleri. But to his dismay, Jonatan Calleri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 45 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Sergipano notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Dumitru Turlea. Dumitru Turlea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Sergipano was the one to do the kick off. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Radu Moldovan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. São Paulo da Floresta's Vitório Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Octavian in the 59th minute of play. Maxim Rioşanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 minutes, Ivo Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Paulo da Floresta and the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Jonatan Calleri got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlinhos Sergipano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dumitru Turlea. That made the score 2-4 in the 76 minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Sergipano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dumitru Turlea. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlinhos Sergipano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Dumitru Turlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá de Andrade in the 91st minute of the match. São Paulo da Floresta's Vitório Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Rioşanu in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Cătălin Octavian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitório Mendonça. São Paulo da Floresta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cătălin Octavian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. São Paulo da Floresta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
