When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gaston Claris sped through DOROSTOL Ss's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Volodya Variyski. After 23 minutes, Hugo Pitin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo AFC and the DOROSTOL Ss players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Palermo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Pitin to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Ognyan Elmazov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingo Serafo. Palermo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ognyan Elmazov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 29th minute, Gaston Claris made a precise shot to the right of Volodya Variyski. DOROSTOL Ss's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Anselmo Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volodya Variyski having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Gaston Claris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Volodya Variyski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the game, Palermo AFC's Gaston Claris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Volodya Variyski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Andres Leoncio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Volodya Variyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Astudillo in the 46th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Claris in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volodya Variyski saved DOROSTOL Ss from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind DOROSTOL Ss's goalkeeper Volodya Variyski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Volodya Variyski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Polentzi in the 53rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Volodya Variyski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcelino Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Volodya Variyski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palermo AFC's Gaston Claris got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Palermo AFC's Volodya Variyski threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaston Claris, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marcelino Polentzi took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Volodya Variyski. Volodya Variyski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Volodya Variyski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaston Claris in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, DOROSTOL Ss's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Claris came free, but Volodya Variyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Volodya Variyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Olo in the 69th minute of the match. DOROSTOL Ss's Volodya Variyski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save DOROSTOL Ss from getting a goal against them. Marcelino Polentzi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Volodya Variyski came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcelino Polentzi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 73rd minute. In the 79th minute Gaston Claris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volodya Variyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, DOROSTOL Ss's Ognyan Elmazov got a free kick in the 79th minute. With a little luck, DOROSTOL Ss's Volodya Variyski got control of the ball when Gaston Claris tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marcelino Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo Lluques got free with Volodya Variyski in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, DOROSTOL Ss's Zheko Radushev got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Elvio Olo sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Volodya Variyski threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Elvio Olo this time. When Marcelino Polentzi came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Palermo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Polentzi couldn't finish the play. DOROSTOL Ss's Volodya Variyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Claris in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Toshko Gúrnev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palermo AFC played a much better game than DOROSTOL Ss and deserved their victory. The DOROSTOL Ss players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
