Spectators: 7757 (Terracing: 5820, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mark Devan got the match started through his kick off. Iskandar Chian charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iskandar Chian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iskandar Chian hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Rifqi Choo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickael Achterberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Mickael Achterberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rifqi Choo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute, De Pelgrims's Gerrit van Gaal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gerrit van Gaal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of De Pelgrims protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gerrit van Gaal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 19 minutes into the game, one of De Pelgrims:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With his leg Rifqi Choo managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when De Pelgrims's Huub Nagel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elbert Plescher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danish Henderson in the 31st minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Klaas Jan Baaijen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Pelgrims and the Oakham players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Klaas Jan Baaijen got a free kick in the 31st minute. Rifqi Choo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickael Achterberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Huub Nagel might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rifqi Choo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Huub Nagel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Jan Klasen got a free kick in the 44th minute. Elbert Plescher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Devan in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Huub Nagel was the one to do the kick off. When Jan Klasen fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Pelgrims's protests and gave Jan Klasen a yellow card for diving instead. Mickael Achterberg kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Elbert Plescher acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iskandar Chian. In the 60th minute, Mickael Achterberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Pelgrims fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 68th minute, Iskandar Laycock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elbert Plescher was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Rifqi Choo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huub Nagel, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Mickael Achterberg scored 3-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rifqi Choo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Huub Nagel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rifqi Choo. Oakham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huub Nagel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Rifqi Choo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by De Pelgrims's Mickael Achterberg. But to his dismay, Mickael Achterberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. The supporters of Oakham booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickael Achterberg didn't get a good kick on the ball.
