Spectators: 7615 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 115) RED BLUE STAR's Niculae Perșa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pompiliu Comarnescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório Mello in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Giovanni Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Mello in the 10th minute of play forced RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Pompiliu Comarnescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Răcănel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Edinho Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Baldovinescu charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Baldovinescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when RED BLUE STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Baldovinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edinho Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Răcănel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinho Severo came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Niculae Perșa. But to his dismay, Niculae Perșa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, RED BLUE STAR's Vintilă Ilie got a free kick in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Gaúcho came free, but Pompiliu Comarnescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Niculae Perșa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RED BLUE STAR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espigão Steamrollers the free kick. After 41 played minutes RED BLUE STAR got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Perșa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otávio Valadares in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pompiliu Comarnescu saved RED BLUE STAR from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otávio Valadares to strike the kick off in the second half. Pompiliu Comarnescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, RED BLUE STAR's Ivan Baldovinescu got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Vitório Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafa Saraiva charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafa Saraiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Espigão Steamrollers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Pânzariu scored 2-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edinho Severo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Hermes in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pompiliu Comarnescu saved RED BLUE STAR from getting behind. Edinho Severo came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Niculae Perșa. But to his dismay, Niculae Perșa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Dedê Faria struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Pompiliu Comarnescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espigão Steamrollers. Rafa Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Octav Ciocan's late challenge caught a Espigão Steamrollers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Ciocan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when RED BLUE STAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Ciocan didn't get a good kick on the ball. RED BLUE STAR were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Espigão Steamrollers for a fine match.
