In the 9th minute, Jean-Michel Blandin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Pointe Courte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Atletic Elooo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Sotil to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Pascal Hingant struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Maximino Fidensio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Pointe Courte. Alejandro Sotil charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Sotil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Atletic Elooo's Alejandro Sotil got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Emiliano Tohias suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Maximino Fidensio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Grail, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Atletic Elooo's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Grail came free, but Maximino Fidensio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Martxel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Sabri Fouquet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Severiano Belasko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sabri Fouquet. La Pointe Courte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severiano Belasko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thibaut Mazieres to make the kick off. A collision led to La Pointe Courte getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mathis Castella hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, La Pointe Courte's Wilfried Mahé got a free kick in the 58th minute. Severiano Belasko took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sabri Fouquet. Sabri Fouquet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Benedicto Martxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Severiano Belasko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atletic Elooo's Maximino Fidensio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Grail in the 73rd minute of play. Sabri Fouquet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severiano Belasko's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Natalio Remigio kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Jose Xacintu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sabri Fouquet. La Pointe Courte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose Xacintu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 86 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Niva came free, but Sabri Fouquet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94thth minute of the game Severiano Belasko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Wilfried Mahé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the La Pointe Courte players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Atletic Elooo.
