After a rather tough play, PREZULO FC's Gilberto Silva got a free kick in the 2nd minute. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after PREZULO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Paulo Paiva took the corner. Válbson Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Válbson Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, PREZULO FC's Válbson Carvalho got a free kick in the 6th minute. Dida Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Paiva in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute César Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Paulo Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Chaves took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Paulo Diniz. Luiz Paulo Diniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dida Brasil made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Roberto Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Ortiz got free with Dida Brasil in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Paulo Diniz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emerson Rosa went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Válbson Carvalho got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Válbson Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Luiz Paulo Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Ferraz in the 32nd minute of the match. Dida Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to PREZULO FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Evandro Trevisan hit a great ball. Dida Brasil made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Roberto Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. Dida Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Ortiz in the 39th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Diniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nildo Munhoz's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. In the 43rd match minute, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Dida Brasil made a huge save. After the first half PREZULO FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nildo Munhoz to make the kick off. Nildo Munhozs short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Luiz Paulo Diniz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nildo Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Jaime Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edu Negri in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dida Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Adalberto Amorim was substituted for Inácio Montenegro. After 74 played minutes LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Donato. PREZULO FC's Dida Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Ortiz in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to PREZULO FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. César Cruz hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Adalberto Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dida Brasil. PREZULO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Dida Brasil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
