An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Ortiz in the 6th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Bermudo Litago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Santos in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Paulo Diniz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Paulo Diniz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel Dagora went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Luis Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Luiz Paulo Diniz made a huge save. After having played for 17 minutes, Inácio Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bermudo Litago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Negri in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Rogério Donato got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 39th minute, Boca Juniors's Beila Barroso seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Beila Barroso the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Boca Juniors protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Beila Barroso had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 40 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Beila Barroso. Moncho Muelass short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Luiz Paulo Diniz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Santos was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Moncho Muelas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC the free kick. In the 53rd minute Moncho Muelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moncho Muelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Paulo Diniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Bermudo Litago made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Inácio Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. If Luis Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Moncho Muelas might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Paulo Diniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moncho Muelas ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Paulo Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moncho Muelas in the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Amorim came free, but Bermudo Litago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Adalberto Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bermudo Litago. Adalberto Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
