Spectators: 7654 (Terracing: 5742, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 152) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lawrence Gonzi made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Friggieri during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Friggieri to maneuver through the defense. After 7 played minutes Lautaro L.P. got a freekick which was hit by Albert Madrid. Nick Grech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quintán León's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Lautaro L.P.'s Xabier Frick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manwel Dimech in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Lawrence Gonzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Templars FC's Lawrence Gonzi got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nick Grech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Jose Navarro in the 18th minute of play. Lawrence Gonzi took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xabier Frick. Xabier Frick dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 27th minute Juan Jose Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Grech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mark Cuschieri hit a great ball. Quintán León received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nick Grech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastián Torrijos's late challenge caught a Templars FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastián Torrijos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lautaro L.P.'s Sebastián Torrijos got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Xabier Frick came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Keith DeGaetano. But to his dismay, Keith DeGaetano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 40 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quintán León came free, but Nick Grech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mark Cuschieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Lawrence Gonzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabier Frick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nick Grech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Jose Navarro in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Jose Navarro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nick Grech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintán León, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Xabier Frick came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Oliver Friggieri. But to his dismay, Oliver Friggieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Nick Grech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Jose Navarro in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Friggieri in the 66th minute of play forced Lautaro L.P.'s goalkeeper Xabier Frick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keith DeGaetano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Oliver Friggieri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xabier Frick was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Lautaro L.P.'s Juan Jose Navarro got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, Lautaro L.P. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintán León to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Lawrence Gonzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Templars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lawrence Gonzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xabier Frick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Templars FC's Manwel Dimech got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xabier Frick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Gonzi in the 83rd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Lautaro L.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Friggieri came free, but Xabier Frick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes, Calvino Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lautaro L.P. and the Templars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Calvino Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Gonzi in the 90th minute of play forced Lautaro L.P.'s goalkeeper Xabier Frick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keith DeGaetano's late challenge caught a Lautaro L.P.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keith DeGaetano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lautaro L.P. booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keith DeGaetano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Templars FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lautaro L.P..
