After 22 played minutes UFC Puturoasa got a freekick which was hit by Ruslan Blanari. Cristian Ronaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Grech having to interfere. After some careless play in the Templars FC defense, Emil Dobândã kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nick Grech. The Templars FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nick Grech should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Cristian Ronaldo sped through Templars FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nick Grech. Nick Grech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Friggieri to maneuver through the defense. Templars FC's Mark Cuschieri was substituted for Neil Debono. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Oliver Friggieri got a free kick in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Templars FC's zone, Emil Dobândã stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nick Grech came out of the goal and Emil Dobândã tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute Luke Abdilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Grimalschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Friggieri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Adam Aquilina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Templars FC's Nick Grech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Conac in the 84th minute of play. Nick Grech didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Ronaldo went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Nick Grech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruslan Blanari's shot from short distance in the 89th minute.
