Arturo Beturian started the match with the kick off. Juan Jose Navarro hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the game, Lautaro L.P.'s Juan Jose Navarro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Ganix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. CA Trapito's Dionisio Cidro suffered a sprained foot after 15 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Podador Santelices during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CA Trapito made a substitution. Silverio Mirande replaced Dionisio Cidro. Xabier Frick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Hunfredo in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, CA Trapito's Pedro Calvino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silverio Mirande during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Silverio Mirande hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Jonas Ganix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintán León, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Juan Jose Navarro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Ganix. CA Trapito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Jose Navarro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Arturo Beturian took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Xabier Frick to make any attempt to save it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Podador Santelices put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lautaro L.P. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, CA Trapito's Jeronimo Montrelle got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Xabier Frick. When Quintán León fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lautaro L.P.'s protests and gave Quintán León a yellow card for diving instead. Jonas Ganix came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Lautaro L.P.'s José Alejandro Caro. But to his dismay, José Alejandro Caro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 3-4 lead.

Silverio Mirande scored 4-4 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xabier Frick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quintán León in the 56th minute of play forced CA Trapito's goalkeeper Jonas Ganix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Arturo Beturian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xabier Frick was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4. Xabier Frick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Calvino in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Lautaro L.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Mirande came free, but Xabier Frick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Madrid in the 74th minute of play forced CA Trapito's goalkeeper Jonas Ganix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lautaro L.P. booed when CA Trapito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. CA Trapito made a substitution. Flavio Calvet replaced Arturo Beturian. 80 minutes into the match, CA Trapito's goalkeeper Jonas Ganix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Madrid. A collision led to CA Trapito getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Erasmo Guillelmus hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Calvet in the 84th minute of play forced Lautaro L.P.'s goalkeeper Xabier Frick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Baldomiro Hunfredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Alejandro Gabino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Trapito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lautaro L.P. the free kick. In the 89th match minute, CA Trapito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Gabino to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Ganix made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Albert Madrid sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro L.P.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
