Xabier Frick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Blidaru in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Didi Prodan. Răzvan Geolgău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xabier Frick having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ioan Blidaru during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lautaro L.P. booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Blidaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Isidro Arregui made a precise shot to the right of Narcis Coman. Granicerul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leontin Neața during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leontin Neața hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Granicerul's Narcis Coman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Regino Angosto in the 24th minute of play. Lautaro L.P.'s Xabier Frick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorinel Munteanu in the 25th minute of play. Ioan Blidaru struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Xabier Frick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granicerul. After 30 minutes, Isidro Arregui made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Granicerul's Narcis Coman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the game, Granicerul's Răzvan Geolgău nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xabier Frick made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Isidro Arregui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th minute, Dorel Albescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

67 minutes into the game, Dorinel Munteanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xabier Frick. Dorinel Munteanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Lautaro L.P.'s zone, Răzvan Geolgău stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xabier Frick came out of the goal and Răzvan Geolgău tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Lautaro L.P.'s Hugo Orlando Pazols got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the game, Granicerul's Ioan Blidaru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xabier Frick made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. If Răzvan Geolgău had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xabier Frick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorinel Munteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Sebastián Torrijos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lautaro L.P.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granicerul the free kick. A collision led to Lautaro L.P. getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Sebastián Torrijos hit a great ball. Răzvan Geolgău received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Xabier Frick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Lautaro L.P. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Hernán Manosalva. Xabier Frick made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Dorinel Munteanu sent off a good shot on target. Lino Mesa struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Narcis Coman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lautaro L.P.. After 94 played minutes Lautaro L.P. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Hernán Manosalva. After having played for 95 minutes, Răzvan Geolgău managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granicerul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Geolgău was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Granicerul's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
