Agustin Chumo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Agustin Chumo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Isidoro Maraman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dionisia's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Maraman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Villafane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the game, Marcelo Calenga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter de Guayaquil FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dionisia the free kick. After 27 played minutes Inter de Guayaquil FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Calenga. In the 37th minute Juan-Alfredo Guceño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Abecia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Abecia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Alfredo Guceño, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Dionisia getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Agustin Chumo hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Vera Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximiliano Abecia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dionisia's goalkeeper Maximiliano Abecia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Juan-Alfredo Guceño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximiliano Abecia. Dionisia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan-Alfredo Guceño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Dionisia's Agustin Chumo got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 90th minute, Roque Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes, Dionisia's Adan Elequemedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danilo Villafane came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dionisia reached it. Camilo Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Danilo Villafane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisia's Camilo Duardo got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
