Spectators: 7660 (Terracing: 5747, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Ferdinand Cado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Marcelo Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xiboquinha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave R.C. Marseille the free kick. Thanks to some nice moves Blaise Castera could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Gil Lima however easily saved by the left post. Blaise Casteras short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Gil Lima to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 12th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Veiga to maneuver through the defense. After 13 played minutes, R.C. Marseille's Teddy Wendling shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gil Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in R.C. Marseille reached it. In the 16th minute, R.C. Marseille's Ferdinand Cado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gil Lima. Gil Lima yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. André Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Auguste Lorre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Auguste Lorre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Quintal during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Auguste Lorre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Meirelles went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 39th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Gil Lima managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when R.C. Marseille's Honoré Lottin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Honoré Lottin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gil Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Baiano. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Honoré Lottin kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Blaise Castera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xiboquinha FC's Gil Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gil Lima came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by R.C. Marseille's Honoré Lottin. But to his dismay, Honoré Lottin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 63 minutes into the game, André Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xiboquinha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave R.C. Marseille the free kick. 69 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Cado came free, but Gil Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Cado in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyril Bec in the 80th minute of play forced Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Gil Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Blaise Castera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. R.C. Marseille's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xiboquinha FC the free kick. Prosper Carette kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's Honoré Lottin got a free kick in the 85th minute. R.C. Marseille's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
