The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Baiano. The supporters of Xiboquinha FC booed when Boedo Crows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Xacintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Boedo Crows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Milio to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Baiano to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mario Peio sped through Xiboquinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Lima. André Meirelles hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Duda Veiga's late challenge caught a Boedo Crows's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duda Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Boedo Crows booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Cesario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boedo Crows's Eliseo Perez was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 28th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 31 minutes of play, Boedo Crows's Mario Peio made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gil Lima was left in no man's land by his defense there! 36 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Gil Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Xacintu. In the 38th minute, André Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hélder Meireles hit a great ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Eliseo Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xiboquinha FC's Gil Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mario Peio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Lima having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuri Velloso to make the kick off. David Guedes's late challenge caught a Boedo Crows's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Guedes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. David Guedes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Peio in the 61st minute of play forced Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Gil Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gil Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Boedo Crows's Mario Peio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Gil Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Peio in the 74th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Boedo Crows got a freekick which was hit by Mario Peio. When Boedo Crows's Eliseo Perez in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Xiboquinha FC's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the game, Mario Peio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Gil Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Xiboquinha FC's zone, Eliseo Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Lima came out of the goal and Eliseo Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Boedo Crows fans cheered their team off the field, for while Xiboquinha FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
