The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Celama should have stopped the shot. Xurde Argoños charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xurde Argoños the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xurde Argoños hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 1-2 became the score in the 19th minute when 康烽宽 elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Inter de Guayaquil FC's 傅迪森 threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Flor Orallo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vera Castro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Inter de Guayaquil FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Flor Orallo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of 傅迪森 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Valiente Tebar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 傅迪森 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Juan-Alfredo Guceño replaced Valiente Tebar. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 90 minutes, Juan-Alfredo Guceño made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Qingdao Huanghai Fc's 傅迪森 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Qingdao Huanghai Fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
