When Wladyslaw Kapinos came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Thunderstorm Riders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wladyslaw Kapinos couldn't finish the play. If Wladyslaw Kapinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Horia Berceanu got a free kick in the 10th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Bogumil Trzaskoma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thunderstorm Riders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogumil Trzaskoma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Rio from getting a goal against them. Nechifor Epure made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herbert Poremba in the 19th minute. Izydor Lerych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from János Oltean in the 25th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Nechifor Epure successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. János Oltean hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Teodor Dan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nechifor Epure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Poremba in the 42nd minute of the match. Thunderstorm Riders's Izydor Lerych played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Irimescu in the 44th minute of play. Izydor Lerych stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horia Irimescu's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Izydor Lerych acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Horia Berceanu. Horia Irimescu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Trzaskoma came free, but Nechifor Epure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Izydor Lerych made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Irimescu in the 59th minute of play. Ignacy Czerniejewski kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Horia Irimescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Izydor Lerych made a huge save. The supporters of Thunderstorm Riders booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Negulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Poremba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nechifor Epure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Poremba in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Thunderstorm Riders getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ignacy Czerniejewski hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Thunderstorm Riders's zone, Horia Irimescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Izydor Lerych came out of the goal and Horia Irimescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Herbert Poremba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Poremba in the 86th minute of play. If Wladyslaw Kapinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
