Ferdi Dekens started the match with the kick off. Izydor Lerych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pieter-Jan van der Laan in the 2nd minute of the match. After 5 played minutes Zijdewind SC got a freekick which was hit by Rob Deiman. A collision led to Thunderstorm Riders getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Wladyslaw Kapinos hit a great ball. The referee showed Edmund Przybyciel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zijdewind SC's Diderik Alferink was substituted for Marcel Luirink. When Edmund Przybyciel came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Thunderstorm Riders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmund Przybyciel couldn't finish the play. Rein van Steensel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Poremba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmund Przybyciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Rein van Steensel made a huge save. Zijdewind SC's Rein van Steensel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Gongolewicz in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter-Jan van der Laan in the 23rd minute of play forced Thunderstorm Riders's goalkeeper Izydor Lerych to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herbert Poremba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rein van Steensel having to interfere. Wladyslaw Kapinos hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Edmund Przybyciel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Izydor Lerych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Dekens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rob Deiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Izydor Lerych tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Zijdewind SC's Ruud Luirink got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Ignacy Czerniejewski fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thunderstorm Riders's protests and gave Ignacy Czerniejewski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Thunderstorm Riders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacy Czerniejewski to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Zijdewind SC's zone, Edmund Przybyciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rein van Steensel came out of the goal and Edmund Przybyciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute Edmund Przybyciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rein van Steensel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Pieter-Jan van der Laan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Izydor Lerych. That made the score 0-1 in the 68 minute of play. Thunderstorm Riders's Tobiasz Kaszubowski was substituted for Alfred Gongolewicz. The supporters of Zijdewind SC booed when Thunderstorm Riders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Poremba didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pieter-Jan van der Laan got free with Izydor Lerych in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 87 played minutes Thunderstorm Riders got a freekick which was hit by Ignacy Czerniejewski. Pieter-Jan van der Laan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Izydor Lerych made a huge save. Rein van Steensel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Poremba in the 92nd minute of the match. The Zijdewind SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
