Spectators: 7651 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) UFC STEAUA's Mugur Nisipeanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Mugur Nisipeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Taigur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Toader Ipate dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gunnar Taigur, 1-0. In the 11th match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Nisipeanu to maneuver through the defense. Costică Petran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eiko Kurm in the 13th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, FC Muuga United's Eiko Kurm made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Costică Petran was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eiko Kurm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Gheorghe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gunnar Taigur came out and tried to block the shot, but Emanuel Gheorghe slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Toader Ipate was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC STEAUA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Muuga United the free kick. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Toader Ipate got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Costică Petran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joonatan Agu in the 27th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Kaspar Nõukas put in a rough tackle. After 31 played minutes FC Muuga United got a freekick which was hit by Kaspar Nõukas. UFC STEAUA's Marin Mihăileanu got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Hodorog got free with Gunnar Taigur in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Madis Rillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costică Petran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Madis Rillo ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, UFC STEAUA's Costică Petran got control of the ball when Eiko Kurm tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Albert Hodorog made a precise shot to the right of Gunnar Taigur. FC Muuga United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Nistor Fenici put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gunnar Taigur. Eiko Kurm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Costică Petran made a huge save. 77 minutes into the game, Eiko Lüdimois was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Muuga United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC STEAUA the free kick. In the 76th minute, one of FC Muuga United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Muuga United. The referee gave UFC STEAUA a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marin Mihăileanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Muuga United's Gunnar Taigur. 6-2. Gunnar Taigur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Fenici in the 81st minute of play. The tension between the UFC STEAUA and the FC Muuga United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Madis Rillo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Mugur Nisipeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Hodorog in the 97th minute of play forced FC Muuga United's goalkeeper Gunnar Taigur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
