Spectators: 7805 (Terracing: 5855, Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 155) Jailson Cearense made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético Capixaba's Nilton de Godoi got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 10th minute Acácio Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Pires hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Mete Gol took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvinho Amorim. Silvinho Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, Atlético Capixaba's Patrick Teles got control of the ball when Jailson Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvinho Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredinho Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Silvinho Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iuri Arruda in the 26th minute of play. Patrick Teles made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jailson Cearense sent off a good shot on target. Iuri Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iuri Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Arruda. Silvinho Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mete Gol went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Alfredinho Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Murilo Sanches hit a great ball. Mete Gol scored 0-3 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvinho Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mete Gol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mete Gol to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Atlético Capixaba's Mete Gol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silvinho Amorim. Silvinho Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Atlético Capixaba made a substitution. Fernandinho França replaced Acácio Figueiredo. Atlético Capixaba's Vágner Urbano was substituted for Gerson Leal. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Iuri Arruda got a free kick in the 64th minute. 70 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Silvinho Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilton de Godoi. A collision led to Atlético Capixaba getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Fernandinho França hit a great ball. ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fernandinho França 78 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. Silvinho Amorim made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Mete Gol sent off a good shot on target. Márcio Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Teles having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Capixaba's Mete Gol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silvinho Amorim. That made the score 0-8 after 86 minutes of play. 89 minutes into the game, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Márcio Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aílton Branco in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvinho Amorim saved ATHLETICO PRaiano from getting behind. Atlético Capixaba played a much better game than ATHLETICO PRaiano and deserved their victory. The ATHLETICO PRaiano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
