Andarilhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 10th minute, Lars Nordmark made a precise shot to the right of Filipe Pedroso. Newcastle United F.C.'s Viktor Sjöman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Veríssimo in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Newcastle United F.C.'s goalkeeper Viktor Sjöman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Campelo. Andarilhos's Filipe Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Wik in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Drewitz in the 27th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Filipe Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Västlund came free, but Filipe Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newcastle United F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Andarilhos booed when Newcastle United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Nordmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Newcastle United F.C.'s Viktor Sjöman got control of the ball when Anselmo Veríssimo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Newcastle United F.C. defense, Anselmo Veríssimo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viktor Sjöman. Andarilhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newcastle United F.C. the free kick. Viktor Sjöman made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Leandro Campelo sent off a good shot on target. Viktor Sjöman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sálvio Malta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 46 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henning Lidberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Newcastle United F.C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Edward Ahlqvist hit a great ball. Viktor Sjöman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudemiro Infante's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Albin Drewitz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Gervásio Salgueiro in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Newcastle United F.C.'s Kent Wik. In the 63rd match minute, Andarilhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Castanheira to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute Simon Västlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goalkeeper Filipe Pedroso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albin Drewitz. If Albin Drewitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. Viktor Sjöman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Tinoco's late challenge caught a Newcastle United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Tinoco helped the player get up and apologised. Marcelo Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Andarilhos's zone, Henning Lidberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Pedroso came out of the goal and Henning Lidberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viktor Sjöman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sálvio Malta in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Lidberg in the 83rd minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Filipe Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Laureano kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Simon Västlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albin Drewitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Pedroso having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Albin Drewitz notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Andarilhos's Filipe Pedroso. Filipe Pedroso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
