When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Sálvio Malta put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Ritchie. Sálvio Malta hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jacinto Castanheira hit a great ball. Andarilhos's Filipe Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Burni in the 9th minute of play. Filipe Pedroso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Augusto Burni showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. Benito Dei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Dei in the 25th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Filipe Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Ritchie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Campelo in the 27th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's goal looked a bit too open when Sálvio Malta came free, but Bruno Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Andarilhos defense, Benito Dei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filipe Pedroso. The Andarilhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filipe Pedroso should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute, Benito Dei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejandro Perico kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Filipe Pedroso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benito Dei went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Bruno Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sálvio Malta in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Veríssimo came free, but Bruno Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Romero was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, one of O rey Iván:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for O rey Iván. Bruno Ritchie had in the 65thth minute some difficulties stopping Sálvio Malta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 66th minute, Aurelio Paio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Andarilhos's goalkeeper Filipe Pedroso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sálvio Malta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Ritchie having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, O rey Iván was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Cesario to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gervásio Salgueiro hit a great ball. Aurelio Paio kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Andarilhos's Filipe Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Paio in the 80th minute of play. If Aurelio Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Israel Cesario fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored O rey Iván's protests and gave Israel Cesario a yellow card for diving instead. Bruno Ritchie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herberto Vilar in the 91st minute. Israel Cesario hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. After 99 played minutes O rey Iván got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Perico. For all the effort they put into the match, the Andarilhos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for O rey Iván.
