After a rather tough play, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's André Luiz Proença got a free kick in the 4th minute. Evaristo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Peli in the 5th minute of play. Nunez Gimenez made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when André Luiz Proença sent off a good shot on target. Floripa Lions FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mathias Gaúcho took the corner. The supporters of Floripa Lions FSCMZ booed when Los Hijos de Doña Beija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Urbasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Hijos de Doña Beija's zone, Mathias Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Gimenez came out of the goal and Mathias Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Los Hijos de Doña Beija getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fidel Maiorga hit a great ball. Nunez Gimenez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mathias Gaúcho. 15 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Nunez Gimenez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luiz Proença. Hélder Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nunez Gimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Luciano Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Gimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nunez Gimenez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Severino Peli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Cordareo's late challenge caught a Floripa Lions FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iker Cordareo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Los Hijos de Doña Beija getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Iker Cordareo hit a great ball. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Erik Schmidt couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Los Hijos de Doña Beija. In the 28th minute, Severino Peli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Natã Rossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Park Ferretti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Evaristo Siqueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Nunez Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Rossi in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Luciano Batista ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nunez Gimenez. Nunez Gimenez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Peli in the 44th minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Evaristo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Park Ferretti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Siqueira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Raúl Guimarães got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luciano Batista was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Luciano Batista made a precise shot to the right of Nunez Gimenez. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 55th minute Luciano Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Gimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Gaúcho hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Rossi came free, but Nunez Gimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes, Fidel Maiorga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Hijos de Doña Beija and the Floripa Lions FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th play minute Park Ferretti came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Evaristo Siqueira. 2-1. If Severino Peli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Osvaldo Pasqual blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaristo Siqueira having to make a save. After 88 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Maiorga. When Ediberto Recife fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floripa Lions FSCMZ's protests and gave Ediberto Recife a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Floripa Lions FSCMZ getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ediberto Recife hit a great ball. Park Ferretti's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Evaristo Siqueira - 2-2 was put on the score board in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
