Spectators: 7722 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dimitris Kalokiris got the match started through his kick off. When Eleftherios Fasoulas came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the GREEN LIONS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleftherios Fasoulas couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, TSIGALKO's Kyriakos Vardis threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximilian Brander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 9th match minute, GREEN LIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soulis Zacharas to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Brander came free, but Kyriakos Vardis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by GREEN LIONS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peter Telin was slow to take the kick. During this time TSIGALKO's players had a chance to rest. If Dimitris Kalokiris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Kyriakos Vardis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Melin. Eleftherios Fasoulas took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Valström. Kenneth Valström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute Andreas Seremetiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Valström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes TSIGALKO got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Brander. A collision led to TSIGALKO getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Peter Telin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in TSIGALKO's zone, Andreas Seremetiadis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Valström came out of the goal and Andreas Seremetiadis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lukas Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Karl-Erik Bergman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TSIGALKO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GREEN LIONS the free kick. After 39 played minutes TSIGALKO got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Erik Bergman. 41 minutes into the game, Ntinos Samaras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GREEN LIONS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TSIGALKO the free kick. Ntinos Samaras hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sivert Ekrot was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, TSIGALKO's Sivert Ekrot got a free kick in the 51st minute. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Eleftherios Fasoulas hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Kenneth Valström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Andreas Seremetiadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Kenneth Valström made a huge save. After 63 minutes, Soulis Zacharas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GREEN LIONS and the TSIGALKO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes GREEN LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Soulis Zacharas. TSIGALKO's Victor Melin got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to TSIGALKO getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sivert Ekrot hit a great ball. Kyriakos Vardis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sivert Ekrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jon Majman lost his temper 73 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when TSIGALKO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Majman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandros Aggelas struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Kenneth Valström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GREEN LIONS. Sivert Ekrot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyriakos Vardis having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Sivert Ekrot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TSIGALKO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Kenneth Valström was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Eleftherios Fasoulas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eleftherios Fasoulas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Odysseas Kasapoglou hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The GREEN LIONS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GREEN LIONS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
