Curumalán AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Congo Bongo the free kick. Eusebio Nisio took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amado Ishmael. Amado Ishmael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Amado Ishmael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Bortzaioriz in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Arsenio Maraman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Congo Bongo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curumalán AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Arsenio Maraman got a free kick in the 14th minute. Jonatan Bortzaioriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Amado Ishmael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonatan Bortzaioriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Ishmael having to interfere. Baltasar Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Alfonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Jonatan Bortzaioriz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amado Ishmael. The goal made the score 2-1. Jonatan Bortzaioriz struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Amado Ishmael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Congo Bongo. Dionisio Menendo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Roberto Telo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Congo Bongo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Telo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Bortzaioriz got free with Amado Ishmael in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, Jonatan Bortzaioriz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Curumalán AFC's Amado Ishmael. Amado Ishmael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernán Losada made a kick off. Baltasar Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Losada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amado Ishmael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Bortzaioriz in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Patricio Alfonso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baltasar Maria. The goal made the score 3-2. Pedro Regis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Ishmael having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Gizon to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, Roberto Telo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Amado Ishmael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute Jonatan Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Ishmael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Ishmael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Nisio in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Bortzaioriz in the 78th minute of play forced Curumalán AFC's goalkeeper Amado Ishmael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Ishmael came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Congo Bongo's Jonatan Bortzaioriz. But to his dismay, Jonatan Bortzaioriz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. After 90 minutes, Rene Mikeldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Congo Bongo and the Curumalán AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Congo Bongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Mikeldi to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Congo Bongo had won after a very even match.
