The supporters of Carabata Groove booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remco Van Der Elst didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Vargas took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mattias Morreels. Mattias Morreels dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jeremias Neron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Van Der Elst in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Jerardo got free with Mattias Morreels in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Virgilio Videl fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carabata Groove's protests and gave Virgilio Videl a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when Carabata Groove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Videl didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart De Koq in the 29th minute of play forced Carabata Groove's goalkeeper Jeremias Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Vargas made a great header on Carabata Groove's corner, it was just that Purple Talents's Mattias Morreels managed to reach the ball for a save. When Rosendo Taurino fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After some careless play in the Carabata Groove defense, Bart De Koq kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Neron. The Carabata Groove fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Neron should have stopped the shot. With his leg Jeremias Neron managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Purple Talents's Eddy Claes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Rolando Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carabata Groove's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mattias Morreels breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremias Neron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charl Mesmaekers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddy Claess short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Jeremias Neron to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jeremias Neron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charl Mesmaekers, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Purple Talents supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Purple Talents would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
