But to his dismay, Hando Lints quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Aksel Annama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Aksel Annama didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgílio Donatello went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute Marcus Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aksel Annama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aksel Annama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Simões stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Marquês de Herval walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
