The referee ignored Marquês de Herval's protests and gave Virgílio Donatello a yellow card for diving instead. Virgílio Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Agustín Ruberto made a precise shot to the right of Juarês de Amaral. Marquês de Herval's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Utopía Muerta FC booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes, Utopía Muerta FC's Teodoro Guerau shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juarês de Amaral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Utopía Muerta FC reached it. After 39 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Rezende. Sydney Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Diniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's Aurelio Chico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juarês de Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafael Maties made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Guimarães in the 56th minute of play. Rafael Maties took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Salvador Guillelmus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Salvador Guillelmus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Guillelmus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juarês de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Agustín Ruberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês de Amaral came out of the goal and Agustín Ruberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juarês de Amaral acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Teodoro Guerau. Rafael Maties took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 73 minutes, Marcus Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marquês de Herval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Utopía Muerta FC's Teodoro Guerau got a free kick in the 74th minute. Diego Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Rafael Maties made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Simões in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Ivo Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 minutes of play Marquês de Herval's Virgílio Donatello was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Juarês de Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agustín Ruberto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 94 minute of play. Utopía Muerta FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
