Juarês de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Montanez in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Ongile Arainz came free, but Juarês de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Munet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Donatello in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Alfredão Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Munet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atlético Municipal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
