Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Abel Gana started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Delmiro Francis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Ekaitz in the 6th minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Jorge Vicente Basay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateo Lorenz hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Gerónimo Alonso hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Mercurio Pasos. When Wilfredo Ekaitz fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Huracan's protests and gave Wilfredo Ekaitz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, C.A Huracan's Wilfredo Ekaitz got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes C.A Huracan got a freekick which was hit by Santo Eate. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Sebastián Garfias got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 minutes of play, C.A Huracan's Wilfredo Ekaitz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Vicente Basay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciriaco Guerrero kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C.A Huracan defense, Jon-Ander Huaiquipan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Velasco. The C.A Huracan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Velasco should have stopped the shot. Raimundo Backhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Velasco having to interfere. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when C.A Huracan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Cesario didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Carlos José Angulo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos José Angulo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when C.A Huracan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.A Huracan were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfredo Ekaitz made a kick off. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when C.A Huracan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Cesario didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd match minute, C.A Huracan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Jago to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Haroldo Jago took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Jorge Vicente Basay to make any attempt to save it. In the 64th minute, Mateo Lorenz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Delmiro Francis took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Vicente Basay. Jorge Vicente Basay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. 68 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Ekaitz notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Jorge Vicente Basay. Jorge Vicente Basay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute, Jon-Ander Huaiquipan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocencio Mosca hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Santo Eate cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Jorge Vicente Basay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. C.A Huracan's Gregorio Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Gana in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the C.A Huracan defense, Iván Dayson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Velasco. The C.A Huracan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Velasco should have stopped the shot. Carlos José Angulo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. C.A Huracan's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
